Fashion Faves for Spring 2012

This year there are so many beautiful styles that I am loving!  From the colors to the textures. Here are a few styles that I cannot wait to rock!

HIGH AND LOW!!!!

From skirts, to dresses, to maxis.  I am really loving this look.  Very stylish and fun. 

Love this bohemian, casual, yet stylish look!!

Rock your high/low dress w/ a cropped jean jacket/vest for a more casual look.

I LOVE THIS LOOK!!!!!  So pretty...and (model on the left) tan definitely helps with the look too! ;)

PEPLUM!!!!  If you want to rock a modern day vintage look, wear a bright peplum skirt with a cute top!!!  Brights will make the peplum more modern and fun!

BLUSH!!!  This color is always in style!  But pastel colors are really hot this spring.  Rock a pretty skirt with a cute top for a super feminine look!  I love this corset top worn with that pretty ruffle skirt!

PHOTOGRAPHY

I don't mean to go off topic, but had to talk about, PHOTOGRAPHY!!!  I just wanted to add that I am IN LOVE with Simply Bloom Photography.  I LOVE everything about their work!  From the vintage themes to the usage of natural light, and of coarse the amazing shots!!!   Fashion and theme definitely plays a huge role in their work!!

Amazing right??  I am simply in love with Simply Bloom Photography.

ACM Awards 2012 Best Dressed!!!

It doesn't matter whether you're a country fan or not, it's definitely all about the dresses when it comes to red carpet!!! Here are our favorites!!!


Carrie Underwood in Abed Mahfouz.  She looked absolutely gorgeous!!!

Taylor Swift in J. Mendel. Probably my fav look ever for Taylor!

Other fav looks of the night included Jennifer Nettles in Custom Max Azria AtelierMiranda, Kimberly Perry in Cengiz Abazoglu, and Miranda Lambert in Randi Rahm.

Love them all, simply gorgeous head to toe!!!

Spring 2012 Eye Makeup Look!!!

Inspired by the beautiful bright colors of Spring 2012!!! 

(note:  picture above was taken with an iPhone, so may not best resemble colors.)

Step 1.  Start by applying a primer all over eyelid.  Next, apply a purple eyeshadow on the crease using a blending brush.  Blend any harsh lines.  Next, apply a bright yellow eyeshadow by patting onto lids with a small eyeshadow brush.  Try not to go over the crease lines. 

Step 2.  Apply a black eyeshadow towards the outer crease, creating that "v" look.  Blend a way!

Step 3.  Blend some more purple eyeshadow to the crease.  This will give it a smokey look.  Next, apply a liquid eyeliner.  Start from the outer corner, working your way towards the inner corner.  Make sure line is thick and the "wing" is extended out.

Step 4. & 5.  Apply a white highlighter last.  This will help blend a way any harsh lines as well.  I applied it across the entire brow bone.  Lastly, apply some false lashes and you're all done!!!

Tips:  I like to add more color in between steps as needed.  For example, with this look I added more yellow and purple to make the colors pop.  Just remember to blend!

Classic & Timeless White Rooms

My good friend Lisa asked me to give her some ideas on an "all white theme" room.  I did some research and found so many inspiring ideas that I decided to blog about it.

A beautiful classic white room is so chic & sophisticated!  Best way to pull it off is to incorporate different textures and have great lighting.  The room will glow with natural lighting.  Starting with your basic furniture, a white sofa, white tables, and etc.  Then comes the accessories.  I would look for textures in pillows, rugs, mirrors, lamps, and chandeliers. 
Also, go for varying shades of white - that means ivory, nearly cream and very pale greys.  These will all add depth and interest to the scheme.  Don't forget about the walls.  You don't have to stick with the traditional white walls.  Add white panels, crown moldings, and my favorite- wall paper!  There are endless types of wall paper that will make your room pop.  Just think "texture, texture!"
